English: This is an imaginative illustration of the first-century AD Greek historian Pamphile of Epidauros, showing her with a hairstyle and style of clothing typical of the early imperial period, holding a scroll and a writing utensil with an open codex and bundle of scrolls at her feet. The writing on the codex, although not really legible, is from the beginning of the Tractatus de Mulieribus Claris in Bello (Treatise on Women Famous in War), which may have been written by her. The scrolls are intended to represent her lost work Historical Commentaries.
